Then Boerum and Cobble Hill and Carroll Gardens and Park Slope and Prospect Heights Williamsburg and Ft. Greene and now Bed-Stuy and Crown Heights and Bushwick and Flatbush and Sunset Park. And Windsor Terrace, which doesn't get a lot ink, since it's primarily wealthier whites displacing less affluent whites, though the home sale often turns the less affluent whites into more affluent whites. Class issues are very much in play, however.

I find the story of Windsor Terrace to be very evocative in these conversations, reminding us, I think, just how much this is about race above all else.Clarkson FlatBedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13463744536115119388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1541468051247516447.post-24516304489639873792015-11-10T09:48:32.735-05:002015-11-10T09:48:32.735-05:00Speaking about amnesia, the Lefferts Manor Assoc. ...Speaking about amnesia, the Lefferts Manor Assoc. had regular Flatbush Ave. clean-ups in the '70s–plus ça change, plus c'est la même choseBob Marvinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12734112800580467028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1541468051247516447.post-82006370533189871322015-11-10T08:34:40.514-05:002015-11-10T08:34:40.514-05:00Funny you post this as I sometimes think too that ...Funny you post this as I sometimes think too that the garbage situation has much improved. We do still need our garbage cans back. The majority have not been returned since they were removed for misuse by the sanitation dept going on 4-ish years now. Carmennoreply@blogger.com
