If ABBA is more than a broker you do not specify how. I have lived in Patio Gardens for 16 years. I have never seen them do anything else except show apartments to people.

Sethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12696161435787029985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1541468051247516447.post-11130505205192656532016-06-07T12:19:49.698-04:002016-06-07T12:19:49.698-04:00Where though? Still have quite a bit of research to do on this front, but don't worry, we'll find it. And it doesn't matter much for the purposes of what the Q has written here. Brokers like ABBA Realty are implicit in the displacement of long-time tenants and should be held responsible for the damage they are doing to the fabric of our neighborhood. Shame on all of them.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14584368442922444515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1541468051247516447.post-75673096082783362852016-05-28T14:25:29.765-04:002016-05-28T14:25:29.765-04:00ABBA Realty is not the management for Ebbets Field...ABBA Realty is not the management for Ebbets Field or Patio Gardens. This time though, you're wrong. Lots of people are getting the help they need through this sort of direct outreach. And the politicians AND the landlords are taking heed. That's why some are selling, some are taking action (I leave it to you to decide which is which!) One of the heads of this movement has been targeted himself with a very sneaky scheme but the judges, many of whom are sympathetic, aren't buying it.

So it's a matter of perspective. Yes, some neighborhood residents are accepting low-ball buyouts or splitting out of fear. And some are staying and fighting. There's even a group offering escrow services for rent strikes, a sort of insurance policy against landlords trying to get people out by not doing mandatory upkeep and providing heat, gas, electric etc.

The NY State Legislature is starting to change as a result of recent elections putting Democrats (nominally) in charge.
