The Q at Parkside

(for those for whom the Parkside Q is their hometrain)

News and Nonsense from the Brooklyn neighborhood of Lefferts and environs, or more specifically a neighborhood once known as Melrose Park. Sometimes called Lefferts Gardens. Or Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. Or PLG. Or North Flatbush. Or Caledonia (west of Ocean). Or West Pigtown. Across From Park Slope. Under Crown Heights. Near Drummer's Grove. The Side of the Park With the McDonalds. Jackie Robinson Town. Home of Lefferts Manor. West Wingate. Near Kings County Hospital. Or if you're coming from the airport in taxi, maybe just Flatbush is best.

American Taco

Thx to Seth Kaplan over at the PLG Facebook page we have confirmation that Burger Mexicano won't be another Cafe Pomidor (and if you get that reference you are a certified middle-timer). Extra points to anyone who can name what Cafe Pomidor, which never opened, became...

I guess Jim's always been bold, but that block is so chock full of "activity" that I'd be apprehensive. I guess we'll see what happens!

Just thought I'd allow the above comment because it's so hilarious. I get dozens of spam comments like this everyday, and unfortunately I have to read them all in order to get to y'alls inciteful and funny responses.

Sigh. All because of three or four consistent bummer jerks who keep sending nasty notes designed to divide us all. There is a special place in hell...

Nothing like a gift of human hair!

IIRC that sign said "Human Hair Toys" (no punctuation). I'm sure my cat would have loved that, if it were true.
