Spring has certainly sprung on the Flabenue and environs. The boys at Tip of the Tongue have finally led us know they're in the game on Lincoln Road near the Park. I've known of their plans for some time, and they live in the 'hood, so all I can say is...
Welcome, good luck, and see you on opening day.
Don't know precisely what they're going to serve, but here's the catering company's website:
The Q at Parkside
News and Nonsense from the Brooklyn neighborhood of Lefferts and environs, or more specifically a neighborhood once known as Melrose Park. Sometimes called Lefferts Gardens. Or Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. Or PLG. Or North Flatbush. Or Caledonia (west of Ocean). Or West Pigtown. Across From Park Slope. Under Crown Heights. Near Drummer's Grove. The Side of the Park With the McDonalds. Jackie Robinson Town. Home of Lefferts Manor. West Wingate. Near Kings County Hospital. Or if you're coming from the airport in taxi, maybe just Flatbush is best.

what is it?
I hope they do serve tongue. I like it both baked and brewed, but especially in tacos.

Good question, Anonymous. The website reads like a catering hall...
It is going to be some sort of cafe. The owners also run a catering company.
Anon at 9:34. Yes, because the business is not open yet. You are looking at the website of their current business, which is a catering business, which it clearly states all over the site.
The Lincoln Road spot is going do classy take-out and a run a cafe. But, no, the catering website is not about the Lincoln Road location.
They should change the name. It's creepy and not appetizing sounding.
Also, lets hope that they know how to run a business.
I would really like to see this new cafe, which I hope goes by Brewed and Baked, the new grocer and LPT band together to address the loitering problem on Lincoln. I don't know how people feel safe sitting outside eating at LPT, and the problem has gotten worse in the last year or so. The walk from the subway to Flatbush has gotten kinda scary. Can't be good for business.
Merely by opening their doors, these two establishments will discourage loitering, which has been exacerbated by the empty storefronts, but what will really help is the start of construction on the new apartment building on that vacant lot.
Whenever people say "brew" and it's coffee and not beer, I get a bit disappointed. No disrespect to the Tavern, but we need more watering holes.
Does any one know when are they planing to open?
I love the name - it's unique and memorable. Also, the sign is gorgeous. Hope that when they open the inside looks as unique as the sign and the name
I hope they can afford the rent.
Did the sign get stolen?
