The Q at Parkside

(for those for whom the Parkside Q is their hometrain)

News and Nonsense from the Brooklyn neighborhood of Lefferts and environs, or more specifically a neighborhood once known as Melrose Park. Sometimes called Lefferts Gardens. Or Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. Or PLG. Or North Flatbush. Or Caledonia (west of Ocean). Or West Pigtown. Across From Park Slope. Under Crown Heights. Near Drummer's Grove. The Side of the Park With the McDonalds. Jackie Robinson Town. Home of Lefferts Manor. West Wingate. Near Kings County Hospital. Or if you're coming from the airport in taxi, maybe just Flatbush is best.

Damn Q, look at your watch, are you missing time? I think Mulder was right, the NYPD is just a pawn this is bigger than tomatoes of potatoes lets not call the whole thing off.

Walked past there yesterday and it looked like they were very close to being ready for business. Good stuff.

Ugh that name! Can't they just stick with "Baked and Brewed?"

Maybe Wholesome Market should hire ToT's contractor...

Is this opening? Because it looks like it should be ASAP. And I'm hoping to try it.

Tell me that there will be fresh baked bread! Sorely lacking around here.

Check it out people: http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/fbh/3786863768.html

Craigslist ad for a barista. The language says a little about the vibe they're looking to create. Also, they'll be serving Forty Weight Coffee.

Jeez, I don't know much about coffee, but it seems like the person who would qualify for that barista position certainly deserves more than minimum wage. Let's hope B&B/TOT pays their coffee pros top dollar!

The Marzocco espresso machine they describe in the ad cost $13,000. Can't blame them for asking for someone who knows how to use it. This looks very promising.

Worst name ever. Thankfully, they seem to know what they're doing despite the poor taste in names.

Am I the only person who thinks Tip of the Tongue is a cool and original name? I love the name!

Nope, I like it, too! Sucker for puns...

There is some alliteration, but I don't see the pun...
