The Q at Parkside

(for those for whom the Parkside Q is their hometrain)

News and Nonsense from the Brooklyn neighborhood of Lefferts and environs, or more specifically a neighborhood once known as Melrose Park. Sometimes called Lefferts Gardens. Or Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. Or PLG. Or North Flatbush. Or Caledonia (west of Ocean). Or West Pigtown. Across From Park Slope. Under Crown Heights. Near Drummer's Grove. The Side of the Park With the McDonalds. Jackie Robinson Town. Home of Lefferts Manor. West Wingate. Near Kings County Hospital. Or if you're coming from the airport in taxi, maybe just Flatbush is best.

Unholy Aliance?

Anything I might comment here would only detract from the strangeness of this upcoming neighborhood event and accompanying poster, sent to my inbox not 10 minutes ago. I'll leave it to you, the readership, to enlighten us.

Looks like it is real. Incredible, what's next ROTC in kindergartens?

I'm still on the CB9 email list, following my thankfully short interim appointment, and got an Email from them a couple of days ago with this flyer attached. I guess it's real; you couldn't make up sh*t like this!

I understand the HazMat unit will be demonstrating the proper way to safely remove a ham sandwich from a Crown Heights streetcorner.

Love all the pointless hate from you guys on here...

Whats the problem with a community that wants to teach their kids about how the police force is there to help?

And exposing them to a climate of understanding?

Imagine these comments were reversed...

oh the backlash and outrage that would ensue
