The Q at Parkside

(for those for whom the Parkside Q is their hometrain)

News and Nonsense from the Brooklyn neighborhood of Lefferts and environs, or more specifically a neighborhood once known as Melrose Park. Sometimes called Lefferts Gardens. Or Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. Or PLG. Or North Flatbush. Or Caledonia (west of Ocean). Or West Pigtown. Across From Park Slope. Under Crown Heights. Near Drummer's Grove. The Side of the Park With the McDonalds. Jackie Robinson Town. Home of Lefferts Manor. West Wingate. Near Kings County Hospital. Or if you're coming from the airport in taxi, maybe just Flatbush is best.

Philosophical Question of the Day

If a Tree Limb Falls Onto the Trashy Sidewalk, Does Anybody Clean It Up? I'm curious...which City agency are people expecting to deal with this?

What does 311 say? :)

I'm pretty sure it's the responsibilty of the business whose sidewalk it landed on, right? But so is the trash, so you can see how seriously they take their responsibility.
Expect it to stay there until someone from that business kicks it into the street making it somebody else's problem...

I would think that the trash would be the business-owner's responsibility and the tree branch would be the Dept. of Parks'.
