The Q at Parkside

(for those for whom the Parkside Q is their hometrain)

News and Nonsense from the Brooklyn neighborhood of Lefferts and environs, or more specifically a neighborhood once known as Melrose Park. Sometimes called Lefferts Gardens. Or Prospect-Lefferts Gardens. Or PLG. Or North Flatbush. Or Caledonia (west of Ocean). Or West Pigtown. Across From Park Slope. Under Crown Heights. Near Drummer's Grove. The Side of the Park With the McDonalds. Jackie Robinson Town. Home of Lefferts Manor. West Wingate. Near Kings County Hospital. Or if you're coming from the airport in taxi, maybe just Flatbush is best.

From the 71st came this description of police action across from BBG:

Thursday May 9, 2013 the 71 Precinct executed a search warrant at 915 Washington Ave. Four guns,a 1/2 kilo of heroin and 11 ounces of crack were seized. One male occupying the apartment was taken into custody.

the pix that go with the story are crazy. That gun is a .357 magnum Desert Eagle with hollow points. A very good thing to get off the street. I hope the can reel in more than the one guy they got.

The question is how did the gun get to where it was seized? A Desert Eagle costs a lot of money, and it's not a domestic product. It's from Israel.

It shouldn't take long to figure out who the first owner was.

Holy smokes look how many bullets that magazine holds for the Desert Eagle anon at 12:26 linked to. Definitely very good news it's off the street. Along with its owner.
